Frequently asked questions
- Make sure that the microphone isn't muted on the headset.
RIG 900 headsets have a flip-to-mute feature. To unmute, flip the mic boom all the way up and then all the way down. - Make sure that the microphone is correctly connected to the headset. A loose connection can prevent the flip-to-mute feature from working.
- Make sure that the firmware is up to date.
- Turn off the headset and turn it back on.
- Test the headset on another device to check if the issue comes from the headset or the device.
The RIG 900 MAX HX headset is compatible with the following platforms:

NOTE: Since the RIG 900 MAX HX is Xbox licensed, we cannot guarantee that all the functions of the headset will work on a PlayStation like on a PC or Xbox.
- Mode: Press once to select a mode (Bluetooth, USB or Dual).

Multi-function:
- Press once to play or pause music.
- Hold the button for three seconds to activate the voice assistant.
- During a call, press the button once to accept or end it.
- During a call, hold the button for three seconds to reject it.
- Volume control: Increase or decrease the speaker volume.

Light indicator: Indicates the pairing mode or the charging status.
- Blue: Pairing mode activated.
- Green: Charging.
- Off: Charged.
- On/Off: Hold the button for three seconds to power on or power off the headset.
- USB-C charge port: Use the USB-C to USB-A cable supplied to charge the headset. It takes five hours to fully charge the battery.
This problem can happen when a soundbar is connected to the TV. Before using your headset, make sure to disconnect your soundbar.
- Set up the Navigator app. You can use the video tutorial here.
- Press and hold the Mode button for at least six seconds until you hear a voice prompt that says "Pairing Bluetooth".
- Make sure that your phone operating system is up to date.
- Activate Bluetooth on your phone and select the name of your headset.
- Go to the Navigator app.
- Press Update.
The Your headset is up to date message displays and the icon changes from red to green.
If you are still having issues, uninstall and reinstall the app and do the procedure again.
You can customise your microphone options with the Navigator app.
- Go to your audio profile page.
- Press Customization.
You can access three menus: Sound, Equalizer and Additional.
Sound menu
- Microphone Gain: You can set low, medium and high settings for the microphone output.
- Microphone Monitoring: You can set low, medium and high settings for the microphone feedback through the speakers.
- Volume Level Protection: You can set a maximum volume limit.
Equalizer (EQ) menu
You can select pre-set EQ options from the drop-down menu or create your own customised EQ.
Additional menu
- Headset Start Mode: You can select a mode (Bluetooth, USB or Dual). This feature has the same function as the Mode button.
- Voice Prompts and Tones: You can turn on or turn off voice prompts.
Dolby Atmos is compatible only with Xbox and Windows 10/11.

The LED indicator flashes blue. - Activate Bluetooth on your phone and select RIG 900 MAX HX.
USB-A adapter
The RIG 900 MAX HX and the supplied USB-A adapter come already paired right out of the box.
If you lose the USB-A connection or if you need to connect the RIG 900 MAX HX headset to a replacement adapter, follow these steps:
- Power off the headset.
- Plug the USB-A adapter into the console or PC directly, or into the multi-function base station.
- Press and hold the Pairing button on the USB-A adapter to set it into pairing mode.
The LED on the adapter flashes blue and red. - Press and hold the Power button on the headset until the LED flashes purple.
A voice prompt says "Power on" and "Pairing USB".
When the connection is complete, you can hear a confirmation of connection and the LED on the USB-A adapter displays a solid purple.
